Detailed description
This is a woven hook and loop construction supplied to order. What follows is the part that decides whether the roll works on your line: the yarn, the width tolerance, the put-up and the paperwork that travels with the container.
What the buyer is choosing
Grade and backing are separate decisions. The same woven face is supplied plain for stitching, coated with acrylic for panels, or coated with rubber for rough and low-energy surfaces. Buying the face and the backing as one item is what produces the 'it stuck for a week then fell off' complaint.
The material question
This is a nylon-polyester blend rather than a single fibre. The nylon share carries the cycle life and the colour depth; the polyester share carries dimensional stability and the price. Blends are quoted by ratio, so if the ratio is not stated, the two quotes you are comparing are not for the same product.
How it is quoted
Payment is 30 percent deposit with the balance against a copy of the bill of lading. Mixed widths on one purchase order are quoted as separate lines with a shared lead time, which is usually cheaper than splitting the order.
What ships with the goods
Colour is checked against the retained standard under D65 on every lot, and weft skew, oil marks and hook damage are inspected across the full roll rather than on a cut sample.
Checking it on arrival
On arrival, measure the width at the core and at the outside of the roll before you cut anything. A roll that measures wide at one end and nominal at the other was slit under uneven tension, and the whole lot will behave the same way on your line.
If you are comparing suppliers, send the other quotes with the specifications attached and we will tell you which line item is the one that will move on the invoice.
